Finished Digi-pak

This is our finished digi-pak, for our project as you can see some of the scene's match up with the magazine advert and music video to make it flow and so everyone recognised them as one piece and not different individual pieces that don't match up together. We use calm, natural colours to make it challenge normal country digi-paks which are normally bright, happy and in country side.

Magazine advert
This is the magazine advert that we created, it goes with the digipak and music video because we have got the, London back ground going through all of the products and the same font that is on the music video at the start is on the magazine advert.

Textual Analyse
Rihanna
Today we watched a video about Rihanna and her music video 'shut up and
drive'. In the music video they use different camera angles, costumes,
mise-en-scene.
Today we analyzed the video. Throughout the video they film
selected parts of her body deliberately to for example her feet, because there
is no where else to look as it an extreme close up of her feet, we have no
choice to look down at her feet and, this shows the audience bowing down to Rihanna
as she is like a queen and important then us and we should respect her and envy
her.
There is a lot of mid shots as well throughout the video instead of full
length shots there is only, 1 or 2 of these this is to show parts of Rihanna
that people look at conforming to the stereotype of woman and how they are
seen. The is also high angle shots looking down at the girls working and Rihanna
and low angle shots looking up and Rihanna to say she has power over us, and it
far more important.
The costumes both conform and challenge the stereotype of women mechanics
as some of the woman are not wearing correct clothes and wearing shorts and not
fixing the cars just leaning over the and the camera is filming this we
conforms to the stereotype of women not knowing a lot about cars and, just
being objects to men however it does challenge it as well because, we see some
of the women in overalls which men where when fixing cars so it shows that are
fixing them and do know what they are doing.
The costumes in the video
challenge and conform to the image of women and how they are seen when Rihanna steps
out of the car we see the red high platform heels, electric green cropped
trousers and pure white top with lost of jewelry this shows to sides to her the
red shows danger and they are leopard, print which shows she is aggressive and
animal and scary but the white top shows purity and kindness but when she turns
around we see the top is ripped all the way down so it conforms to the animal
in her and the way she acts. Then we see her in really tight shorts and leather
studded jacket which shows this flirty side to her and kid of a biker chic look
and lastly we see her in a dress but its a short dress and she is singing in
dark, damp masculine place.
Through out the video we first saw an establishing
shot which shows where it was being filmed and its a masculine video with some famine
parts added in.
The lyrics to go with the song but it is a twist as
some people might think she is talking about cars but she is talking about men
and women and there attitude towards each other and this is why it is a very aggressive
and flirtatious video.
