Rough Cut of Music Video

This is a rough cut of our music video and we have asked people to say what they, thicnk and we will chnage and add things into the video to make, it even better for the finished product.

Our Digipak

This is are finished Digipak drawn version.

 

This is an image of the all 6 pieces that will be in our digipak,The front cover will be an image of both the boy and girl actrors.

 

It shows the girl looking up at the boy for an answer to the song she has wrote, to she is looking for him to answer 'will you wait for me'.

 

The second image shows the CD and we decided to put butterflies on it and flowers to show the country side of the music and nature and calmness as you need to be calm why wait for an answer from the boy this also contrasted with the music video as we have lights with butterflies on them.

 

 We have also added a fountain in one of the images as they are walking towards each other in the video to meet each other by the fountain so it is a key place and this is why it was picked to also be in the digipak. 

Digipak

 This is the two images we have decided to use are the ones shown below and on the left. W decided to use these as they showed emotion and elistrated the song and the lyrics.

This image shows Tajonder looking up a the boy and he is loooking in the other direction instead of her so when she is telling him to wait for her he isnt looking at her and isnt really caring and listening to what she is saying.





The second image below shows the boy walking away as Tajinder looks at him walking away. She is trying to tell him she is sorry and wants him back but in both images he doesnt seem to be intrested. The images show emotions and feelings that the girl has as we can see and feel in the song how sorry she is but the boy just hasnt got time for her and walks away to show that this is the end.

Both images help to portray emotion and feeling and this is why we chose them for our digipak and becuase they were the two images which represent Amanda Kalesky's song 'wait'.

Justification of idea's in relation to genre artist

This is the mood board in which the locations we might be filming at and what we will use and this is more of the modern twist on the music video where is these pictures show more of the country look we are going for as the singer is  country singer and the ideas below will work as the country part and the ideas above will work as the modern twist and we have analysed Taylor Swift and other country singers. We will also use country clothes as Amanda is a country singer.

A contingency plan is what you have in place when filming incase anything goes wrong and you need a back up.

Potential problems and how to overcome these problems:

 A potential problem which we could face is if the actress is sick and cant film we would need a back up actress in place to replace and film instead if the actress would be of for a long about of time. Also another potential problem would be the bad weather as we are filming in December, January and February time and if it rains or snows this could stop us from filming.  We managed to work round this issue by planning different days to film so if it was snowing or raining we would be able to film on a different day in hope that one of which will have the right weather to film in. However, if neither of these days work we can do theory work on our blogs and explain why we did not film on the days stated. This would me that we a group have not wasted a day and plan for the next day we go out to film and make sure we get it done incase we have a lot of days with bad weather.

Proposal as to how to expand/broaden audience/increase sales

We will increase our sales would be to make the song appealing to a wide audience by making the video intriguing and entertaining. We can also appeal to people that like that type of music we are doing appealing but by putting a modern twist on it we will increase sales as it will appeal to more people. Also if they already like the artist they will buy there music as they are fans.

Mood Board/Locations

This is my mood board with all ideas of what are music video will include and what the actress will where and the guy playing the guy in music video. It also shows where we are going to film and the props we will use.

Analyse of student digipak

This is Analyse of a students digipak, after looking at it and Taylor Swifts digipak, i have noticed that there isn't one theme through out, there is all different images so it does match up and all colours are different. I think if they had used the front back and the blue scene but had it in black and white and picture of river it would have made the digipak look more professional. They have however used used the same font through out with  bold 3d effect. I think that for are digipak with will definitely use one theme through out and make sure the fonts match up and it looks professional like the Taylor swift digipak.

Analyse 3 of your favourite Music video's in terms of mise-en-scene,cinematography and editing

Throughout all the music video's i will be analysising lights, mise-en-scene, camera angles and positioning of actors.

The first music video I am going to analyse is Muse - Starlight, I like this music video because it starts of with a drum beat and face pace editing and builds u into the song which is intriguing and exciting as you don't know whats going to happen. Also when there singing "this ship is taking me far away" they are singing it on a ship to contrast with the lyrics. The band is wearing black and the outfits are smart and formal as when you go for dinner on a ship you have to dress smart. As the music starts to build up the atmosphere changes into dark and they send smoke into the sky and its colour and intriguing and people want to watch the video to find out whats gonna happen as they tell as story from starts to finish. In the video they use a wide range of shots, such as high angle, when filming above looking down on ship and crane shot when filming the ship and see to show fast pace editing and different angles at which you can see life as. They stand on a boat for all of the video in a triangle formations so we can see the ship and them clearly.

The second Music video I am going to analyse is James Arthur , Impossible I like this music video because it starts of with him in his house thinking that he wont get any where but then it hows I'm singing on the shows which he won which was xfactor and it shows that nothing is ever impossible. It tells as story and to tell others how he has become to be a pop star. This video shows us his journey through the xfactor and shows us that nothing is ever impossible an dreams come true. This video even though is a ad tone of music its very up lifting and helps people to achieve in life. Throughout the video he is shows in clothes that is natural for him. The lights are bright to shows that he has a bright and shinning future as a pop star and the camera angles shows a close up of him and his reactions to winning and becoming famous. At the end its a celebration of his achievements and this is why the lighting is bright and his crying with happiest surrounded my friends but we can still see him.

The last music video I am going to analyse is The wanted, chasing the sun, I like this music video because they all are in leather jacket which are black and look like a boy band and at the start its all black part from the starts and the lights which are shining which looks intriguing and looks like something exciting is going to happen which makes me want to keep watching the video they also use a lot of fast peace and slow peace editing. Also as the music gets faster the song becomes better to listen to an goes into a car scene which contrast the music and makes the video more interesting. Throughout the music video the music levels change and tells a story which makes you want to keep on listening to the video. Then they come out into the sun light and we see new side to story. The camera angles are close ups and long distance shots to show the actors and the girls and the sun signs to show that they are chasing this girls and now they have got them as they have the sun on them.

Filming

We have decided after looking over the filming we had all ready done that it wasn't as good, so Tajinder  went to london with a boy and filmed the work again then after looking at it as a group we decided it was better then are first peace of work. So we will be using this work now and then on Wednesday we went out and filmed Tajinder singing in parks and by the wall as this was good before and gave the music video a country look which we was going for. We will now edit the music video and see if e need to up load anything else.
